Hal Priestley - COO

Hal Priestly, Chief Operating Officer and co-founder of ETAK Systems, has been in this position since 1997.

In 1997 Hal and Mitch Timmons founded ETAK Systems, Inc. to capitalize on the growing need for backup power services in wireless communications.

In 1992 he began his career in wireless communications, working for Assured Power managing their Engineering division, developing DC Power and grounding systems for several national carriers.

Prior to Assured Power, Hal worked with Tomlinson Engineering in their development and design division, including work on the Bank of America corporate headquarters in Charlotte.

Hal earned his BS degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He is active member of IEEE serving on the Power Engineering Society Stationary Battery Committee that creates standards for the battery industry.
